Waxing Dos and Don’ts

You’ve booked your Lay Bare Home Waxing service on the app. Now what? Getting waxed is always something to prepare for, both mentally and physically. Bracing yourself for the service is equally as important as getting everything ready before the waxing technician knocks on your door.

Here’s a list of Waxing Dos and Don’ts to keep in mind for a smooth and hassle-free service:

Dos

  1. Shower before the service.
  2. Fill out the Health and Travel Declaration Form
  3. Notify your building’s admin or village security ahead of time.
  4. Prepare a towel and easy access to running water before the service starts.
  5. Make sure the hair in the area to be waxed is at least a quarter of an inch (1/4″) long.
  6. Prepare a towel and easy access to running water before the service starts.
  7. Soothe your skin after with natural aloe vera gel or recommended soothing ointments.

Don’ts

  1. Don’t get waxed if you have a skin cut, infection, or active allergies.
  2. Don’t exercise or get a massage right after.
  3. Don’t remove your mask throughout the service to ensure your safety, as well as the service provider’s.
  4. Don’t take a hot bath or shower after to prevent infections.
  5. Don’t touch the waxed area with unwashed hands right after.
  6. Don’t apply products like deodorants, body sprays, or lotions that were not recommended by the waxing technician.
