Today we shine the spotlight on Ate Leth and her invaluable contributions to the team.
She might only have been part of GoodWork for a few months, but Ate Leth is no stranger to the world of cleaning with over 20 years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor in hospitals, schools, and offices. At one point, she was even in charge of maintaining the cleanliness of LRT Line 1. “Natutuwa po ako kasi sa GoodWork kasi nachachallenge ako sa iba’t ibang lugar na napupuntahan ko, iba’t ibang team na nakakasama ko, at syempre iba’t ibang clients na rin. ‘Di tulad nung ‘pag supervisor, stagnant lang ako sa isang lugar,” she adds cheerfully.
As a top-rated cleaner, Ate Leth believes that it’s her responsibility to share her expertise and knowledge in cleaning with her co-cleaners: “Para maging top-rated cleaner po, dapat yung knowledge sa cleaning, shinashare mo rin sa magiging kasama mo. Pag tinatanong nila ako ng “Ano ba pwede gamitin dito?,” shinashare ko yung kaalaman ko. Dapat rin wag masyado isipin na mahirap yung trabaho. Laging kasama dapat ang smile para hindi po laging mabigat ang trabaho. Sinasabi ko nga po sa mga kasamahan kong cleaner na marangal ang trabaho namin. Kung walang cleaners, walang mahihingian ng tulong para maglinis ng bahay. Hindi tayo cleaners lang.”
Ate Leth is one of two cleaners who conduct the sofa shampooing service. Her advice to clients? Get your sofa cleaned about once or twice a year: “Ako po kasi yung gumagawa ng sofa shampooing. Ang suggested ko po sa client lagi is mga once or twice a year po dapat talagang ipalinis ang sofa para hindi dumumi ng sobra.”
