“2018 po ako nag-simula magtrabaho sa salon, at dun na rin po ako na-train sa nails. Kaya ko naman na po talaga nung bata-bata pa ko, pero noong pumasok na po ako ng salon, mas na-enhance ko po yung skill ko,” Ate Shila says cheerfully. She joined GoodWork earlier this year to have more control over her time at work. “Malaki po yung pinagkakaiba ng trabaho sa GoodWork at sa salon po. Mas naaasikaso ko po yung mga anak ko ngayon, lalo na sa online school. Malaki po ang difference,” she explains.
“Noong nasa salon pa po ako, full time po yun. So kailangan ko tapusin yung 9 hours. Fixed lang yung per araw namin na bayad. Kahit naman sabihin na talagang may mga araw na malakas, may mga araw na mahina, kailangan pa rin po talaga ubusin yung 9-10 hours kung nasa salon po. Sa GoodWork naman po, may time na okay lang kung isang client ka lang per day. Nakadepende sayo kung ilan magiging client mo.”

Ayoko yung may lagpas. Pinipicturean ko po talaga yung nails para makita kung ano yung itsura ng gawa ko. Hindi po kasi tumitigil ang pagkatuto. Sa sarili ko, inaaral ko po siya kung may mali akong ginawa at kung paano ko gagalingan pa lalo.”

Kasi kung nakasimangot kayo or masyado kang seryoso, nagkakaroon ng ilangan sa client. Always smile and always say po.”
