Wax Technician Spotlight: Joan Cabilogan

Rating: 5 out of 5.

“Ang galing ni Ms. Joan. She explained the step-by-step so I would have a better understanding of what is happening. I will definitely book her again. BTW, my appointment was at 10 AM and she came at around 9:30 AM, which is a good thing for me!”

When we contacted Ate Joan to inform her that we’d be featuring her for the Wax Tech Spotlight, her excitement was almost tangible. “Thank you po! Talaga po, magkaka spotlight feature po ako?,” she asked cheerfully, as if to double check if we got the right person. With an average rating of 5 stars across all jobs and more than 70 sukis on the app, we want to celebrate her achievements and knowledge as a member of the GoodWork Beauty team.

Today we shine the spotlight on Joan Cabilogan, a GoodWork wax technician and all-around beauty service provider with 11 years of industry experience.

“Actually, ang first kong pinagaralan is massage,” she admits. “Nahirapan ako kasi mabigat sya sa katawan. So nag-aral ako ng pagiging Nail Technician.

Ate Joan’s determination and hard work go beyond her professional life. As a mother of 3 young children, she juggles the responsibilities of being both a breadwinner and top-rated service provider: “With GoodWork, makakapili ka ng schedule na kaya mo.

Even with her busy schedule, ate Joan doesn’t sacrifice service quality and makes sure that her clients are happy with her service.

Waxing comes with its pros and cons, but Ate Joan believes that the brief flash of pain is worth it in the long run. Her advice to first-time wax clients? “If gusto pong magpa-wax, pahabain nila yung hair at wag nilang ishave.

She also goes the extra mile to ensure the comfort of her client: “Sa una pa lang po, makikita mo kung kaya siya i-wax or hindi.
