When we get our nails done by professionals, we don’t come out with just good-looking nails, we also come out feeling lighter emotionally because of the mini chika session we get with our favorite nail technicians. From GoodWork’s Nail Category are Juliet Achero and Anne Cristobal, who have plenty to share about their experiences at work and with customers.

Juliet Achero
Ate Juliet has been in the nail industry for 7 years. She started out as a home-service nail technician for clients who lived near her. Today, she has been with GoodWork for over a month, servicing GoodWork clients and mastering her craft. We asked her what her nail specialty was and this was what she said: “Specialty ko is nail art or nail design.
With a wide variety of nail polishes as her medium and other people’s nails as her canvas, we then asked her if she ever encountered a design from a client that challenged her skills. “May isang client na gusto ng Sailor Moon design, tapos medyo advanced yung nail art,” she answers. The design that the client presented to her made Ate Julie nervous because it was so intricate and rich in detail. It all turned out well in the end because the client loved the final product. “Natutuwa po talaga ako every time appreciate nung client yung service ko,” she said cheerfully.

Ate Julie has a great relationship with her customers. In fact, one special client came to mind when we talked about the great people she’s met along the way:
Pero may isang araw na nagtanong siya sakin about my life, tapos nagkwento ako.

Anne Cristobal
Anne Cristobal has been working with nails for most of her life. She started at a young age, and has more than 18 years of experience as a nail technician. She also went to school for cosmetology and worked in high-end salons where she learned the tricks of the trade: “Marami na po akong training na inattendan. For ate Anne, you can never learn too much.
What she loves the most in her line of work is when the client is happy with their nails. She especially likes forming bonds by chatting with them during the service. According to her, “Marami pong mabait na client.

We asked her what her nail specialty was and she said that she has received many praises for her work with gel polishes and the crowd-favorite ingrown removal: “Hindi pa ako nagkakaroon ng back job diyan.” Even with so much experience, Ate Anne highlighted the value of keeping her feet on the ground. When asked to share a few words of wisdom with our readers, she had this to say: “Dapat down-to-earth palagi. Importante po yun.”
